This is an essential piece of gear if you use the Sirius\XM Satellite Radio home kit and need to (re)locate your antenna to an optimum pickup location. Money well spent: A+.
So far no problems, but could always put silicone sealant on if there are any problems. Has worked well, even through heavy rainstorms. Th cable arrived in less than a week. Installed it myself. Another reviewer complained about the connection leaking.
But if you're buying this, you're doing so to extend the reach of your Sirius antenna another 50', and that's exactly what this does. The other end has a huge plastic. I had just consolidated some audio equipment for a friend, and in the process had moved their Sirius radio receiver away from where the existing 20' antenna cable was plenty enough to reach a signal patch. If you need to fish it through a wall, one of the end connectors is the same size as the cable (no more than a quarter inch) which allows that to be done easily. thing, which I do believe is to help accommodate the rubber cap which protects the fragile male end of the coaxial cable.
This cable provided ample slack to reach and has been giving me full reception with no problems. I needed this to extend the worthless stock home antennae that came with SIRIUS's home antennae so I could put it outdoor and mount it on the roof of my house. Only downside is the cord is very very thick and can become troublesome when mounting.
Exact item at Best Buys was twice what amazon charged even with shipping. It pays to check before purchasing at a store.
